Since its inception, Barklav gradually growth and expanded the shipping sectors ranging from conventional dry cargo sector to tanker sector continuing with passenger sector and presently the offshore subsea and FPSO are ensuring the biggest biz volume.

Our manning services are based on Service Level Agreement and each Client is having a customized SLA based on its needs such that our contribution is aiming to reduce their efforts enabling them to focus on their core biz.

Office Accreditation

Barklav SRL Manning Services is an independent crewing agent located in Constanta, Romania.

Starting with June 2013, the office was duly LRQA ISO 9001:2008 certified applicable to “Provision of manpower to ship owners, ship managers and ship operators in accordance with ILO/MLC2006 requirements as applicable to recruitment and placement services”.

Presently under migration to ISO 9001/2015.

The company is also duly licensed by Romanian Naval Authority and Romanian Labor Authority to supply seafarers respectively land workers for overseas employment within the shipping and Wind Energy industry.

Barklav – Bulk carrier & Container Manning Services

Since 2000, Barklav was constantly providing manning services for the bulk-carrier sector, ranging from geared Handy and Supramax including self-discharging vessels, Panamaxes and Capesize bulk-carriers.

Starting with 2010, Barklav was actively involved in providing manning services for container sector both geared and gearless vessels.

Barklav – Tanker Manning Services

Since 2004, Barklav was consistently involved in manning services supply for tanker vessels ranging from product tankers, crude oil tankers, LPGs, LNGs and FSRUs and combination carriers.
In 2017, Barklav was required to offer manning services consultancy for its Client new generation of combination carriers where the Client is recruiting maritime personnel combining pure tankerman combined experience with dry cargo operation for its new
generation of combination carrier newbuildings.

Barklav – Offshore Manning Services

Since 2003, Barklav was providing crew supply services and subsequently in 2014 crew management including tax regime handling services for the offshore subsea sector ranging from pipelaying vessels, heavy construction and Diving Support Vessels.

In 2015, Barklav was expanding its offshore manning services for FPSO sector and in 2017 Barklav was participating in manning the first converted FLNG vessel.

Barklav – Wind Offshore sector

Wind Energy Offshore sector is having a large growth potential and our Annual Operation Plan’s strategy is strongly considering building up a highly skilled workforce pool to be deployed for the newly spawned industry.

Capabilities

  1. Romania counts around 108 wind farms and the South-East region – Dobrogea being considered the second-highest wind potential in Europe, having almost 30% of the wind farms installed in Romania;
  2. Manpower availability – Romania counts around 5,000 experienced wind technicians operating both On & Offshore;
  3. Training facilities – Renewables School of Skills Training Center located in Constanta is providing GWO approved Basic training and in addition a handful of courses enabling the candidates to work both On & Offshore wind sector;
